Baori is the Rajasthani word for stepwell—those vast inverted staircases that descend, level by level, into the earth in search of water. The Baori Corkscrew carries that idea to the table. Its stepped, cast-brass body echoes the geometry of a stepwell's walls, framing a recessed centre of deep black enamel like a pool of shadow at the bottom of the descent.
The black inlay is meenakari—the centuries-old Rajasthani art of enamelling metal by hand, the same craft that colours the region's finest jewellery and objects. Each piece is cast in brass, then finished by a meenakari artisan. It sits with real weight in the palm; the blackened helix turns cleanly into the cork, and the pull is the ascent.
