Totem I is a study in stacked stone and measured rhythm. Inspired by the quiet monumentality of a traditional totem, the lamp threads a sequence of hand-shaped marble forms along a single axis: deep Levanto red, veined in white, alternating with softly rounded spheres of white marble.
Above, a scalloped brass shade opens like a petalled canopy, its antique finish worked by hand so the metal carries shifting tones and traces of age. A small flower-shaped marble collar and brass finial crown the shade, answered below by a stepped brass base resting on a dark plinth.
More than a source of illumination, Totem I is a small sculptural object—a meeting of stone, metal, and light. Its rechargeable nature allows it to move freely through a space, from console to bedside to dining table, carrying its warm glow wherever it is placed.
A contemporary totem shaped by the language of traditional craft, natural stone, and light.
